Cór Loch Lao
Belfast's only Irish language choir started at Cultúrlann in 2001
Directed by Dr. Manus O Baoill, it has attracted upwards of fifty members from Ireland and abroad. It is a four part choir and meets every Tuesday night to practice a varied selection of choral music from traditional to contemporary. New members are welcome throughout the year and learners of Irish are offered linguistic support. Cór Loch Lao has performed many public performances to date and has developed musical ties with other Celtic language choirs in Ireland, Wales and Scotland.

An Ciorcal Amhránaíochta Traditional Singing Circle
This is an informal way to share songs in Irish. Those interested in singing come together on the last Sunday of each month to teach, learn and enjoy traditional Irish songs. A friendly welcome is extended to all levels of Irish speakers. A spin-off from this circle is An Féile Amhránaíochta - now an annual event. Supported by Iomairt Cholm Cille, singers from all the Gaeltacht areas in Ireland and Scotland come to teach songs from their own areas. As well as workshops there is a public concert and an informal singing circle.
